Application is a great basic gps. Was able to use it with no phone signal. Would be awesome if you could automatically set a few locations in memory by clicking a button and maybe naming it. Then at any given time I could set one of those locations as my destination(like my car for instance). Resorted to opening a text pad to right the list of different coordinates.

to Alex,
Can't save multiple points so far, and can't name the point.
We will add this function in the next version.

Hi Scalers,

unfortunately I only found "Anywhere GPS Text" so far on the Google Android Marked Place and not "Anywhere GPS". But anyway: I really like your app but two important features I am missing:

1) A compass to see where I need to head for when I am searching for a target.

2) And maybe as a nice to have a option to switch from metric units.

You think you can add this features in the near future!

Thanks & keep on doing great work!

Well,
Can this Text version save multiple points and let us name these so we can check how far we are from those points?
I think this will help us a lot if we're out of internet and have only GPS support. I tried to use the distance option but it does not save locations.
Thanks

Some remarks after installing/trying Anywhere GPS:

1. When entering the target you display the present target in an invalid format. This is not handy because you have to correct the coordinates over and over again.

2. In the compass screen you should also display the target Latitude and Longitude.

3. What is the meaning of the GPS icon on the compass screen. It only shows GPS service is disabled while coordinates are displayed???

4. There is only a map view, no satellite view while that is more important when geocaching.

Regards,

Joep van Kempen
