Hi, what is the difference between the anywhere gps text and anywhere gps?

  2. admin says:

Anywhere GPS Text is a simple GPS utility to show th e GPS information by text strings.

Anywhere GPS combines the GPS information with an analog compass. Has a google map with heading arrow.

  3. bob says:

will the gps map work when you are in remote areas that are without cell/data service but still in gps range (outside)?

  4. admin says:

Certainly, it works without wireless service. It just depends on the GPS.

  5. jeff says:

do i have to be outside to connect with the satellites?

  6. John says:

Is there a way to save your CURRENT location to the target without re-typing all the information?

  7. gabbyz says:

so. wut iz thiis basically about cuz I dont get it, wut duzz thiis do???

  8. admin says:

    to John,
Can’t save the current location as the target so far. We will add this function.

  9. Alex says:

    Well,
Can this Text version save multiple points and let us name these so we can check how far we are from those points?
I think this will help us a lot if we’re out of internet and have only GPS support. I tried to use the distance option but it does not save locations.
    Thanks

    Hi Scalers,

unfortunately I only found “Anywhere GPS Text” so far on the Google Android Marked Place and not “Anywhere GPS”. But anyway: I really like your app but two important features I am missing:

    1) A compass to see where I need to head for when I am searching for a target.

    2) And maybe as a nice to have a option to switch from metric units.

You think you can add this features in the near future!

Thanks & keep on doing great work!

    to Alex,
Can’t save multiple points so far, and can’t name the point.
We will add this function in the next version.

Application is a great basic gps. Was able to use it with no phone signal. Would be awesome if you could automatically set a few locations in memory by clicking a button and maybe naming it. Then at any given time I could set one of those locations as my destination(like my car for instance). Resorted to opening a text pad to right the list of different coordinates.

Is there anyway to switch to feet?
